Commercial Trade Source is committed to the safety and education of all team members. From the front desk to the front line, CTS is committed to creating a safety culture that will help promote the quality of life for everyone involved. The core of our safety program is a 10 hour safety certification. Each team member is required complete the OSHA 10 construction safety certification class or provide proof that they have already received the training. CTS follows up this training with safety bulletins, monthly mailers, and an OSHA trained safety coordinator on staff to do on site training and inspections at the request of our clients. We further this education and safety awareness by offering certification classes, at no charge, for the following topics:

  • Aerial Lift Operator
  • Scissor Lift Operator
  • Rugged Terrain Forklift (Lull) Operator
  • Hilti Powder Actuated Tools
  • Confined Space
  • G.H.S. (Formerly M.S.D.S.)
  • Fall Protection

In addition to the certifications the CTS Safety Coordinator can provide, CTS has partnered with the ABC to offer our team members a unique opportunity to obtain an education with one of the largest trade schools in the United States. Through a comprehensive training program with the ABC, apprentices can earn their journeyman credentials and ensuring them a bright future the construction industry.

ABC Pipeline Assessments

Pipeliner Training and Assessment Program (PTAP):
Operator Qualification for Liquid & Gas Pipelines

Our Company is partnering with ABC for the OQ Assessment and Training for all our Pipeliners and Oil & Gas employees we hire. ABC and the NCCER has developed the PTAP in cooperation with API (American Petroleum Institute). PTAP consists of pipeline curriculum and pipeline skill assessments to qualify pipeline personnel under the Department of Transportation’s regulation for Pipeline Operator Qualification. The pipeline assessments are tied directly to NCCER’s standardized pipeline curriculum and will determine qualification on selected covered tasks as identified by API and the Oil and Gas industry.
